"Ladies & Gentlemen, start your engines !!"

Only THREE week's to go before we kick into gear and the two Loonies rev up their 'GTI Tuk Tuk' and screeeeeeetch into the lead of the 'Lanka Challenge 2015' . ​​​​​​Well, that's the plan (dream?) anyway. Will we be so cocky when we cross the finish line on 14th September after covering over 1000 kms of Sri Lankan roads, dirt tracks and the odd field or will we be looking for the telephone number of the local Sri Lankan AAA/RAC to get us out of a hole? Only ime will tell!

But like all good adventures we need to take one step at a time.

So, with that, a very warm welcome to the Hong Kong Loonies website and blog !

We think you'll get a alot from the site; there's even a competition (prizes to be acquired along the route in Sri Lanka which should be interesting) and a gallery for you to share your own roadtrip experiences that have left such a stronf personal memory.

You'll also note that we are working closely with two charities - one in Hong Kong and one in Sri Lanka. They are both very well managed organsations that do some fantastic work in their respective communities. As with most charities they are constrained at times by lack of funds, so please take a look at their website and consider supporting us by making a financial donation. Rest assured, 100% of the funds donations will go the charity. You are not funding beer for Sean and Dave (although if you want to buy us a beer before, during or after the Lanka Challenge then we'll be very very very unlikley to say 'No' !)
